Overview

Atkore Inc. manufactures electrical products for non-residential construction and renovation, residential markets, and Safety & Infrastructure applications in construction and industry. Its Electrical segment includes conduit, fittings, cable and cable-management products; its Safety & Infrastructure segment includes mechanical tube, metal framing, construction services and perimeter security products.[1][2]

The company’s business is U.S.-weighted, with a broader international footprint that includes locations in the U.K., Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Atkore describes its purpose as to “power and protect the world.” [3][4] In FY2025, Atkore reported approximately $2.9 billion in sales and 5,400 employees.[5] [1]

Products & services

Atkore’s Electrical products include metal conduit and fittings, plastic pipe conduit and fittings, electrical cable and flexible conduit, and other products such as international cable management, fiberglass conduit, and corrosion-resistant conduit. Examples include EZ-Pull® EMT, an electrical metallic tubing product meeting UL 797 and ANSI C80.3 in ½–4-inch trade sizes; AC-90® cable and MC Tuff® Type MC cable, both rated at 600 V; and Cellular Core conduit, made with three co-extruded bonded layers and described as lighter and more flexible while meeting UL standards.[1]

Safety & Infrastructure products include mechanical tube, metal framing and fittings, construction services, perimeter security, and cable management. Flo-Coat tubing is made using inline galvanizing, applying zinc as the tube or pipe is formed for corrosion protection. Atkore’s Unistrut Construction offering provides design, fabrication, and installation of mechanical support structures.[2]

In FY2025, reported product-category sales were $455.7 million for metal conduit and fittings (16.0% of total sales), $673.6 million for plastic pipe conduit and fittings (23.6%), $494.0 million for electrical cable and flexible conduit (17.3%), and $374.9 million for other Electrical products (13.2%). Mechanical tube generated $306.6 million (10.8%), while other Safety & Infrastructure products generated $545.5 million (19.1%).[13] [1]

Geographic presence

Atkore’s geographic sales are concentrated in the United States: in FY2025, approximately 88% of sales were to U.S.-located customers and 12% were international. The company reported net sales of 2,501 in the U.S. and 349 internationally; it does not disclose an international revenue breakdown by country.[14][15]

At September 30, 2025, Atkore operated 38 manufacturing facilities and had approximately 8.6 million square feet of manufacturing and distribution space across eight countries. Manufacturing is concentrated in the U.S., with additional facilities identified in Australia, Belgium, Canada, New Zealand, and the U.K.; distribution is concentrated in the U.S. and Canada, with facilities also in Australia, New Zealand, and the U.K. Its headquarters and largest manufacturing facility are in Harvey, Illinois.[16][17]

The company reported approximately 5,400 full-time-equivalent employees, about 15% of whom were employed internationally. Its listed foreign operating and customer-service countries include Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Israel, New Zealand, and the U.K.; international employee counts by country are not disclosed.[18][19] [14]

Business segments

Atkore reports two business segments. In FY2025, Electrical generated $1.998 billion, or approximately 70.1% of consolidated net sales. Its products include metal and plastic electrical conduit and fittings, electrical cable and flexible conduit, and related products, serving primarily non-residential construction and renovation as well as residential markets.[21][1]

Safety & Infrastructure generated $852 million, or approximately 29.9% of FY2025 consolidated net sales. Its focus includes mechanical tube, metal framing and fittings, perimeter security, construction services, and cable management for construction and industrial markets.[21][2] At a more detailed product-category level, Atkore also reports sales for categories within each segment, including mechanical tube and other Safety & Infrastructure products, and conduit, cable, and other Electrical products.[13] [21]

Company history

Atkore’s roots include the Allied Tube & Conduit business, whose history dates to 1959; Atkore International Group Inc. itself was incorporated in Delaware in 2010 to hold Tyco Electrical and Metal Products.[22][23] Tyco sold a majority stake to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice in December 2010, after which Atkore operated as an independent company.[24] In 2013, Atkore acquired assets of Heritage Plastics, adding PVC conduit, fittings and pipe to its portfolio; Tyco later redeemed its remaining shares in 2014.[25][26]

Atkore became publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange in June 2016 under the ticker ATKR.[27][28] In 2019, acquisitions of United Structural Products and Cor-Tek broadened its cable-tray and PVC conduit offerings.[29][30] In 2022, it expanded further into high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe and conduit through acquisitions including Elite Polymer Solutions, United Poly Systems, and Cascade Poly Pipe & Conduit.[31] In April 2026, Atkore completed the sale of its HDPE pipe business to Infra Pipes, retaining a minority equity interest and contingent consideration rights.[34][35] [23]
