Products & services

CBRE’s service offerings cover property transactions, ongoing building operations, projects and real-estate investment. Advisory Services include property sales, commercial mortgage origination, leasing, loan servicing and valuation. Building Operations & Experience includes facilities and property management, digital-infrastructure support and workplace services. Project Management, including Turner & Townsend, provides program and project management and cost consultancy for real estate, infrastructure and natural-resource projects. CBRE Investment Management offers investment management across real estate, infrastructure and other asset classes.[3]

Facilities-management work includes building engineering for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection and vertical-transport systems, as well as janitorial, security and landscaping services; CBRE also describes smart-building integration and technical facilities support for data centers. Property management includes engineering, lease administration, accounting and investment reporting. Project and cost-management services span planning, delivery and cost control, using proprietary databases and benchmarks.[11]

CBRE’s technology offerings include PULSE, a proprietary asset-management tool for centralizing operating information, tasks and performance indicators with property-, regional- and portfolio-level analytics; the company also lists Vantage Analytics, ServiceInsight and Host.[13] In FY2025, facilities management accounted for approximately 50.9% of consolidated revenue, project management 18.9%, advisory leasing 11.1%, property management 6.2%, advisory sales 5.2%, and valuation 2.0%; these percentages are calculated from the reported service revenues and consolidated total.[16] [3]

Geographic presence

CBRE Group operates in more than 100 countries and has approximately 155,000 employees worldwide. Its official company pages report a footprint of more than 600 offices across 100 countries.[1]

CBRE’s reporting groups its geographic markets into the Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), and Asia Pacific. The reviewed filings do not provide a breakdown of total revenue or employees by country or region, so regional revenue shares and workforce distribution are not available from these sources.[19] [1]

Business segments

CBRE reports four business segments in its FY2025 filing. **Advisory Services** covers leasing, capital markets (including property sales and mortgage origination), loan servicing and valuation; it generated $8.840 billion, approximately **21.8%** of consolidated revenue.[2]

**Building Operations & Experience** includes facilities and property management, digital infrastructure services, flexible workplace solutions and workplace experience; revenue was $23.224 billion, approximately **57.3%**. **Project Management** provides program and project management and cost consultancy for real estate, infrastructure and natural-resource projects; revenue was $7.657 billion, approximately **18.9%**.[4]

**Real Estate Investments** comprises investment management and real estate development, including investing for institutional clients and co-investing alongside them; revenue was $879 million, approximately **2.2%**. Percentages are calculated using consolidated 2025 revenue of $40.550 billion and are rounded. Corporate, other and eliminations contributed negative $50 million, so the four segment shares sum to slightly more than 100%.[6] [2]

Company history

CBRE traces its American roots to a San Francisco real estate firm established in 1906; its historical lineage also includes London-based Richard Ellis, founded in 1773. In 1998, CB Commercial acquired REI Limited and the combined company took the name CB Richard Ellis. Shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange in 2004.[7][24]

The company expanded through several major acquisitions: Trammell Crow Company in 2006, Johnson Controls’ Global Workplace Solutions business in 2015, and a majority interest in project-management firm Turner & Townsend in 2021. In 2011, CB Richard Ellis Group changed its legal name to CBRE Group, Inc. In 2025, CBRE acquired flexible-workplace company Industrious and Pearce Services, extending its operations into flexible workplaces and digital and power infrastructure services.[25] [29]
