Company history
CK Asset’s roots date to 1950, when Li Ka-shing established Cheung Kong Industries as a plastics manufacturer; the business later moved into property, and Cheung Kong was listed in Hong Kong in 1972.[27] In 2015, a reorganisation of the Cheung Kong and Hutchison groups’ property businesses led to the listing of Cheung Kong Property Holdings on 3 June.[28]
The company adopted the name CK Asset Holdings Limited in August 2017.[29] In May 2018, Victor T. K. Li became Chairman and Managing Director, succeeding Li Ka-shing, who became Senior Advisor. That year, CK Asset sold The Center in Hong Kong and acquired the 5 Broadgate office complex in London.[30]
In 2019, CK Asset completed its acquisition of Greene King, the UK pub retailer and brewer.[31] In 2024, the company completed Cheung Kong Center II, an office tower developed on the former Hutchison House site in Hong Kong’s Central district.[32] [S1][S2][S3][S4][S5][https://www.ckah.com/senior-advisor][https://www.ckah.com/sites/default/files/2023-07/753_e_content.pdf][https://www1.hkexnews.hk/listedco/listconews/sehk/2020/0514/2020051401765.pdf][https://www.ckah.com/sites/default/files/2023-07/1014_e_content.pdf][https://www.ckah.com/sites/default/files/2023-07/1066_e_content.pdf][https://www.ckah.com/hong-kong-properties/completed-developments/1801]
