Company profile

Clear Secure, Inc.

Updated

Overview

Clear Secure, Inc. is a secure-identity company whose platform links identity verification to physical and digital experiences. Its consumer business includes CLEAR+, a subscription service providing dedicated airport-security lanes, and related travel services; CLEAR1 is its business-to-business identity-verification offering for organizations including those in healthcare, workforce and government. The company describes its purpose as making everyday experiences safer, easier and more frictionless through identity.[1]

CLEAR’s airport presence spans checkpoints nationwide in the United States; its travel services also address international travelers, though this does not by itself indicate a global operating footprint. As of June 30, 2026, it reported 43.5 million total CLEAR members and 8.3 million active CLEAR+ members. Revenue was $277.8 million in the second quarter of 2026 and $530.8 million in the first half of the year.[2] [1]

Products & services

CLEAR Secure’s consumer travel product, CLEAR+, uses biometric identity verification to let members access dedicated airport security lanes. In its 2025 Form 10-K, the company listed annual membership at $209, with an option to add up to three family members at $125 per person annually; its Q2 2026 filing reported CLEAR+ service across 62 airports.[5][6]

TSA PreCheck® Enrollment Provided by CLEAR offers in-person enrollment at CLEAR locations and online renewals; as of the Q2 2026 filing, enrollment was available at 61 airports and 281 retail locations. TSA remains responsible for physical security screening.[6][7] Other consumer offerings include CLEAR ID, a free digital ID created in the CLEAR app using a passport and accepted at select TSA checkpoints, and CLEAR Concierge, an airport escort service with departure and arrival options.[8]

CLEAR1 is CLEAR’s business-to-business identity-verification platform. It combines biometric, document and device signals with verified data sources; partners can choose verification layers to suit their security requirements and user experience. APIs and SDKs support integration into partner systems for uses including check-in, account opening and KYC, age verification, employee onboarding, access control and account recovery.[6]

CLEAR does not report revenue separately by named product. CLEAR1 partner revenue has historically been immaterial, according to the company, and no product-level revenue percentage is provided.[14] [5]

Geographic presence

Clear Secure, Inc. operates primarily in the United States. Its 2025 filing describes serving international travelers from more than 40 countries, but does not establish operating locations or revenue in those countries. The company does not disclose revenue by country or region, or an employee breakdown by geography.[8][15]

At year-end 2025, CLEAR reported CLEAR+ lanes at 60 U.S. airports, TSA PreCheck enrollment at 61 airports and 340 retail locations, and priority lanes at nine sports and entertainment venues. It reported 3,708 Ambassadors and field managers across airport partners, without a geographic breakdown.[16][17] In its Q2 2026 update, CLEAR reported CLEAR+ service at 62 airports and TSA PreCheck enrollment at 280 retail locations; it cited launches in Northwest Arkansas (Bentonville) and Indianapolis.[18][19]

The company lists its principal executive office at 85 10th Avenue, 9th Floor, New York, NY 10011.[20] [8]

Business segments

Clear Secure, Inc. reports one operating and one reportable segment. This segment encompasses the company’s consolidated operations and therefore represents 100% of reported segment revenue; the company does not report a revenue split among subsegments. The latest available interim reporting is for 2026, alongside FY2025 annual reporting.[21]

The company describes offerings across CLEAR Travel and CLEAR1, but these are business offerings, not separately reported segments. CLEAR Travel includes CLEAR+ airport-security subscriptions, TSA PreCheck enrollment, CLEAR Concierge and other travel or mobile identity services; CLEAR1 provides business identity-verification solutions, including for healthcare, workforce and government use cases.[6] The filings reviewed do not disclose approximate revenue contributions for these offerings, so percentages cannot be reliably assigned to them.[22] [21]

Company history

Alclear Holdings, LLC was formed in Delaware on January 21, 2010, with Caryn Seidman-Becker and Kenneth Cornick as co-founders. That year, CLEAR was relaunched at two U.S. airports following an acquisition of the business out of bankruptcy.[23] In January 2020, the Transportation Security Administration selected CLEAR for a biometric PreCheck expansion and vetting program; later that year, CLEAR launched Health Pass, a digital credential for venue entry requirements.[26][27]

Clear Secure, Inc., the public-company parent, was incorporated in 2021 and completed its initial public offering on July 2 of that year.[28][29] In February 2024, CLEAR launched TSA PreCheck enrollment for the public.[26] In 2025, Michael Barkin became president, while co-founder Ken Cornick moved from executive roles to an advisory position and Jennifer Hsu became CFO.[7][30] [23]
