Overview

Doximity, Inc. is a U.S.-focused digital health and healthcare technology company operating a professional platform for physicians and other healthcare professionals. The platform combines professional networking and referrals, medical news and research, career tools, virtual visits, and workflow services such as secure messaging, calling, digital fax, and clinical AI; its commercial offerings include marketing, hiring, and workflow solutions for pharmaceutical companies and health systems.[1][2]

Doximity’s stated mission is to “Help every physician be more productive and provide better care for their patients.” [3] In its fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, the company reported $644.9 million in revenue and 880 full-time-equivalent employees.[4][5] [1]

Products & services

Doximity’s professional network and mobile app provide healthcare professionals with profiles, colleague connections, and search by name, specialty, expertise, affiliation, or location. The app also includes an AI/ML-personalized newsfeed and workflow tools such as voice and video dialing, secure messaging, and digital fax.[6]

Marketing Solutions are subscription-based digital advertising products for pharmaceutical manufacturers and health systems. They include sponsored articles and videos in the newsfeed, content within workflow tools, and sponsored modules in member messages. Customers can target audiences using attributes such as specialty, credentials, and location; some programs personalize content using member needs, diagnosis data, and clinical interests. Hiring Solutions let health systems, recruiting firms, and other organizations search for and contact medical professionals, using AI/ML-supported targeting for permanent and locum-tenens roles. Offerings include job posts, direct messages, and Curative Talent, a recruiting service that combines Doximity data and recruiter support and may charge hourly or placement fees.[10]

Workflow Solutions include Dialer Enterprise, which offers organization-wide telehealth access, utilization reporting, branding, security and HIPAA protocols, customer success and premium support, and potential EHR integration; and AMiON, which centralizes on-call schedules and connects clinicians with specialists through Doximity profiles. The Clinical AI Suite combines Ask, Scribe, and Dialer. Scribe generates structured notes from in-person or telehealth visits, supports clinical templates, dictation, and pre-charting on mobile and desktop, integrates with Dialer, and does not retain audio. Ask supports clinical questions and documentation tasks, including appeal letters and patient-education materials; its capabilities include drug-reference data for more than 3,200 monographs and access to medical-journal PDFs.[20]

Doximity reports that Marketing, Hiring, and Workflow Solutions are offered predominantly on a subscription basis. FY2026 revenue was $644.9 million, compared with $570.4 million in FY2025; the cited filing does not provide revenue by product line or percentages of total revenue for these solutions.[26][4] [6]

Geographic presence

Doximity’s business is concentrated in the United States: in FY2026, more than 3 million registered members represented over 85% of U.S. physicians across all 50 states. Substantially all revenue in FY2026, FY2025, and FY2024 came from the United States; no other country accounted for more than 10% of revenue in any of those years. The company does not report a more detailed revenue split by country or region. Substantially all long-lived assets were also located in the United States as of March 31, 2026 and 2025.[27][28]

Doximity’s FY2026 filing lists its headquarters in San Francisco, California, and leased office space in Irving, Texas; it leases its facilities and owns no real property. The company had 880 full-time-equivalent employees as of March 31, 2026, but did not provide their geographic distribution.[29] [27]

Business segments

Doximity reports one operating and reportable segment, with the chief operating decision maker reviewing consolidated financial information for operating decisions, performance assessment, and resource allocation. Accordingly, the single reported segment represents 100% of FY2026 consolidated revenue ($644.9 million).[31][32]

Within that segment, Doximity describes three solutions, but does not report them as separate segments or disclose their individual revenue contributions: Marketing Solutions provides sponsored healthcare content and marketing for pharmaceutical manufacturers and health systems [10]; Hiring Solutions offers recruiters and organizations tools to search for and connect with medical professionals, including hiring campaigns [16]; and Workflow Solutions provides communications, documentation, and scheduling tools for health systems and hospitals [20]. The company does not disclose a revenue percentage for any of these individual solutions.[31] [31]

Company history

Doximity was incorporated in 2010 as 3MD Communications and renamed Doximity that June; co-founders Jeff Tangney, Shari Buck, and Nate Gross formed its founding team. The company launched its physician collaboration platform in March 2011.[33] Doximity began commercial offerings in fiscal 2012 and expanded its network from 50,000 physician members in 2012 to more than 400,000 by 2014.[33] In 2016, it introduced Dialer, an app for physicians to call patients, and in 2018 announced that its network had passed one million medical professionals.[38][39]

Doximity became a public company in June 2021, when its Class A shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker DOCS.[40] It expanded into physician scheduling through its 2022 acquisition of AMiON, completed April 1, and into AI clinical reference through its completed acquisition of Pathway Medical in July 2025.[41] [33]
