LAS VEGAS SANDS CORP

Updated

Overview

Las Vegas Sands Corp. develops and operates destination integrated resorts, combining casino gaming with hotels, dining, shopping, entertainment and convention facilities. The company describes its purpose as developing and operating destination properties that support economic impact through experiences and high-value tourism.[1]

Its principal operating markets are Macao and Singapore. The portfolio comprises five Macao resorts—The Venetian Macao, The Londoner Macao, The Parisian Macao, The Plaza Macao/Four Seasons Macao and Sands Macao—and Marina Bay Sands in Singapore; Las Vegas is no longer an operating market following the sale of the company’s Las Vegas properties in 2022.[2][3]

For the year ended December 31, 2025, Las Vegas Sands reported $13.017 billion in net revenue, comprising $7.433 billion from Macao and $5.584 billion from Marina Bay Sands.[4] The company’s website reports 38,658 team members worldwide.[1] [1]

Products & services

Las Vegas Sands’ resort products combine hotel rooms and suites with casino gaming, dining, retail, entertainment, and convention facilities. In Macao, The Venetian Macao includes 2,905 suites, approximately 503,000 sq. ft. of gaming space, 1.2 million sq. ft. of meeting and convention space, extensive retail and dining, and venues including an 1,800-seat theater and 14,000-seat arena. The Londoner Macao, The Parisian Macao, The Plaza/Four Seasons Macao, and Sands Macao add branded hotel accommodations, gaming, restaurants, shopping, meeting facilities, theaters, and other attractions; examples include The Parisian’s half-scale Eiffel Tower and Sands Macao’s spa.[5]

In Singapore, Marina Bay Sands offers hotel rooms and suites across three 55-story towers, casino gaming, The Shoppes retail and dining complex, an art/science museum, convention and exhibition facilities, theaters, and the rooftop Sands SkyPark, which includes a 150-meter infinity pool.[5] In fiscal 2025, casino revenue was approximately 75% of consolidated net revenue; rooms contributed about 11%, mall about 6%, food and beverage about 5%, and convention, retail and other about 3%.[4] [5]

Geographic presence

Las Vegas Sands’ principal resort operations are in Macao and Singapore. Its Macao properties include Sands Macao, The Venetian Macao, The Plaza Macao and Four Seasons Macao, The Londoner Macao, and The Parisian Macao; Marina Bay Sands is located in Singapore.[16] The company lists its principal executive office in Las Vegas, Nevada, but sold its Las Vegas resort real estate and operating businesses in 2022.[19][3]

For full-year 2025, net revenue was $7.433 billion from Macao and $5.584 billion from Marina Bay Sands, out of $13.017 billion total—approximately 57.1% and 42.9%, respectively.[4] For the six months ended June 30, 2026, the corresponding figures were $3.875 billion and $2.864 billion, out of $6.739 billion total—approximately 57.5% and 42.5%.[20]

Regional workforce disclosures provide indicators but not directly comparable geographic shares: Sands China reported more than 27,000 team members in September 2025, while Marina Bay Sands reported that more than 12,000 team members contributed during 2025.[21][22] [16]

Business segments

Las Vegas Sands reports six operating and reportable segments: five Macao resorts—The Venetian Macao, The Londoner Macao, The Parisian Macao, The Plaza Macao and Four Seasons Macao, and Sands Macao—and Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Each is an integrated resort, with revenue generated across casino, rooms, food and beverage, mall, convention, retail and other activities. Ferry Operations and Other, and Corporate and Other, appear in the reconciliation to consolidated results rather than as reportable segments.[23]

In 2025, the five Macao segments together generated $7.433 billion, approximately 57% of consolidated net revenue of $13.017 billion; Marina Bay Sands generated $5.584 billion, approximately 43%. Percentages are calculated from the reported figures.[4] [23]

Company history

Las Vegas Sands traces its origins to 1989, when Sheldon G. Adelson and partners acquired the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas. The Sands Expo and Convention Center opened nearby in 1990, and after the hotel was demolished in 1996, The Venetian Las Vegas opened in 1999, developing the company’s convention-and-resort model.[26]

The present-day parent company was incorporated in Nevada in August 2004 and went public later that year. Also in 2004, Sands opened Sands Macao, its first property in Macao. It expanded on Cotai with The Venetian Macao in 2007 and The Plaza Macao and Four Seasons in 2008; Sands China, its Macao operating subsidiary, listed in Hong Kong in 2009.[29]

The company broadened its resort portfolio with Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, which opened in 2010, and Sands Bethlehem in Pennsylvania, which opened in 2009. Later Macao developments included The Parisian Macao, opened in 2016, and The Londoner Macao, developed through a reimagining of Sands Cotai Central and opened in phases beginning in 2021. Sands sold Sands Bethlehem in 2019. Following Adelson’s death in 2021, Robert G. Goldstein became chairman and CEO; Patrick Dumont succeeded him in those roles effective March 1, 2026.[33] [29]
