Overview

LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is a solar photovoltaic (PV) company operating across the PV value chain, with core products including silicon ingots and wafers, solar cells, and PV modules. It also develops integrated solar-plus-storage solutions. The company’s stated mission is “To make the best of solar energy to build a green world.” [1]

LONGi reports business in more than 160 countries and regions. For the year ended December 31, 2025, it reported operating revenue of RMB 70.347 billion and 32,775 employees across the parent company and major subsidiaries.[4] [1]

Products & services

LONGi’s photovoltaic products include monocrystalline modules and cells, as well as monocrystalline wafers and ingots. Its HPBC 2.0 monocrystalline modules had reported average mass-production power of 650–660 W at dimensions of 2,382 × 1,134 mm in FY2025; the company also reported a maximum R&D power of 700 W for BC modules at those dimensions.[8] LONGi’s Hi-MO 9 product page lists output up to 670 W and efficiency up to 24.8%, while the Hi-MO X10 is another HPBC 2.0 module family.[9][10]

LONGi also offers monocrystalline silicon wafers, including its TaiRay series, with product options supporting different cell technologies, sizes, and thicknesses.[11][12] In FY2025, modules and cells generated RMB 59.920 billion in revenue, while wafers and ingots generated RMB 6.540 billion. These equated to approximately 85.2% and 9.3%, respectively, of the reported RMB 70.347 billion in PV-industry revenue; these shares are calculated from the reported figures.[13] The company’s broader portfolio also includes BIPV solutions and energy-storage systems; the available information does not establish their FY2025 revenue contribution.[14][15] [8]

Geographic presence

LONGi Green Energy reports that its operations span more than 160 countries and regions, with overseas branches in the United States, Japan, Germany, India, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, and Thailand, among others. Its FY2025 revenue was RMB 38.867 billion in China and RMB 31.480 billion overseas, approximately 55.3% and 44.7% of total revenue, respectively; the company does not disclose a more detailed country-level revenue split in the cited figures.[16]

The FY2025 report identifies projects in Heshan, Xixian New Area, Tongchuan, and Xi’an. LONGi’s current facility directory also lists domestic production locations across Yunnan, Ningxia, Jiangsu, Shaanxi, Zhejiang, Anhui, Qinghai, and Shanxi, as well as facilities in Kuching, Malaysia, and Vietnam.[18][19]

The company lists its registered address and office address in Xi’an, Shaanxi. It reported 32,775 employees at FY2025 year-end but did not provide a geographic breakdown of employees.[20][6] [16]

Business segments

LONGi’s 2025 interim financial reporting identifies three segments: **PV Products**, **PV Power Stations**, and **Others**. By external revenue in the first half of 2025, they contributed approximately **96.0%, 3.8%, and 0.3%**, respectively.[21] The company’s reported business and product lines include monocrystalline ingots and wafers; cells and modules; distributed PV solutions for residential and industrial/commercial use; ground-mounted PV solutions, including EPC and PV-plus applications; green PV building solutions; and green hydrogen equipment and systems.[22]

For full-year 2025, the revenue disclosure grouped by segment shows PV Products at approximately **RMB 67.945 billion (96.6%)**, Photovoltaic Power Stations at **RMB 2.307 billion (3.3%)**, and Other at **RMB 95 million (0.1%)** of total revenue.[23] A separate product-line view reported **RMB 59.920 billion** from modules and cells (about **85.2%** of PV-industry revenue) and **RMB 6.540 billion** from wafers and ingots (about **9.3%**); these listed lines do not account for all PV-industry revenue.[24] [21]

Company history

LONGi traces its origins to Xi’an Xinmeng Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., established on 14 February 2000; the company identifies Li Zhenguo as its founder [25][26]. It listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in April 2012, the year it also reached 1 GW of wafer capacity [27][28]. In 2014, LONGi acquired Zhejiang LERRI Solar, expanding into solar-cell and module research, manufacturing and sales [28][29].

In 2017, LONGi reported a Fraunhofer ISE-certified monocrystalline PERC cell efficiency of 22.71% [30]. It launched the Hi-MO 5 module in 2020, with volume production beginning that September [31][32]. In October 2024, it introduced the Hi-MO X10 module, based on its HPBC 2.0 cell technology [33]. Its 2025 annual report later described progress in wafer manufacturing technology and cell and module efficiency records [34][35]. [34]
